Please join the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) for the 2022 IAIA Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 9 am (MDT).
Attention IAIA Graduates and Candidates—IAIA’s current plan is to return to an in-person, on-campus graduation on Saturday, May 14, 2022. The following candidates or graduates qualify to participate in the 2022 IAIA Commencement Ceremony.

- Spring and Fall 2020
- Spring and Fall 2021
- Spring 2022
As part of the Commencement Ceremony, there will be a Graduation Powwow and luncheon in the Dance Circle. Students and graduates must fill out the 2022 Commencement Survey by February 11, 2022 to participate in the celebration.
The pandemic presents a fluid situation and we will continue to monitor communications and guidance from the New Mexico Department of Health, New Mexico Department of Higher Education Department, and from the Public Education Department. We will review COVID-19 variant surges by our peer institutions in New Mexico. If it is determined that it is unsafe for an on-campus, indoor Commencement Ceremony, we will move to an online platform.
